In December 1997, a group of indigenous people from the Highlands of Southern Mexico and belonging to the organisation The Bees, were warned that an armed group were coming to kill them. But instead of feeling while they still had the chance, the made the incredible decision to stay and pray for peace. In the massacre that ensued, forty-five people, the majority of them women and children, were killed.
Time to Harvest explores what lay behind the killing, why the people stayed when they had the chance to get out and how the survivors were inspired to continue their struggle for peace and justice by the amazing courage of Zenaida, a young girl, who was orphaned and made blind as a result of the massacre.
